CPR, AED & First AidThe South Metro Safety Foundation offers American Heart Association-certified classes that cover adult, child, and infant CPR/AED and First Aid. This one-day class is ideal anyone who wants to learn CPR/AED and First Aid.
Stop the Bleed Class4 Million People Have Learned to Stop the Bleed, and you can, too! The American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed program has prepared nearly 4 million people worldwide on how to stop bleeding in a severely injured person.
3rd Grade Fire Safety ClassThe program teaches children and families the different sounds a smoke alarm makes and what to do when you hear them, the most common causes of home fires, and how to plan and practice a home fire drill with everyone in your family. This 45-60 minute class is currently only offered to 3rd grade classes in schools in South Metro's district.
Free Car-Seat Inspections!The South Metro Safety Foundation and South Metro Fire Rescue are pleased to offer courtesy inspections of child safety seats and booster seats for families that live or work in our fire district. These inspections are held almost every Wednesday from 10am - 2pm at South Metro Fire Station 34 8871 Maximus Dr, Lone Tree, CO 80124
South Metro Safety FoundationThe South Metro Safety Foundation offers frequent classes and resources for a variety of topics for our community members. Some of the classes offered include: - Hands-on Defensive Driving courses taught by First Responders. - Caring for Older Adults - information for caretakers (both in an official and unofficial capacity) to better care for their aging adults. - CPR, AED & First Aid - AHA-certified classes that cover adult, child, and infant CPR/AED and First Aid.
