EPA Tips for Safe Handling and Storage of Hazardous Materials
- Follow any instructions for use and storage provided on product labels carefully to prevent any accidents at home.
- Read product labels for disposal directions.
- Keep hazardous products in their original containers and never remove labels.
- Never mix leftover products together.
- Remember, even empty containers can pose hazards because of the residual chemicals.

Keep medicines, detergent pods, and other cleaning materials in their original containers and locked away where kids can't reach them.

“Oily and solvent-wet rags can combust without a heat sources. Store them in a tightly sealed metal container, or hang them outside to dry in a cool, shady location away from structures, and then discard them. Make sure they are not in a pile”. – NFPA
